About Third-Party Providers of Proposition Players Registration and Gambling Businesses in California
The Gambling Control Act and the California Gambling Control Commission’s Regulations require owners of Third-Party Providers of Proposition Player Services (TPPPS) and Gambling Businesses (GB) to apply for and obtain a registration and, after receiving a summons from the Bureau of Gambling Control (Bureau), a license.
Background investigations are conducted by Bureau Licensing staff on applicants to determine whether they are suitable to hold a license. Suitability is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the applicant’s honesty, integrity, general character, reputation, habits, and financial and criminal history.
